Monday’s showdown between the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets always figured to feature some step-back threes from Luka Doncic and James Harden. Early in the game, the superstar rookie got the ball rolling.
Harden was guarding Doncic in the game’s opening minutes. The reigning NBA MVP then got burned by a move that he’s used to torch many defenders in the past. Doncic pulled up and drilled a long step-back three right in Harden’s face.
