Houston Rockets guard James Harden makes a habit of destroying teams from deep and getting to the free-throw line. He mixed things up on Wednesday and showed off his leaps with an incredible one-handed dunk.

The Atlanta Hawks were clearly expecting Harden to shoot it from deep. Instead, the All-Star surprised his defender by slipping past them then taking flight and going around a defender before unleashing this epic slam.

Surprisingly, Harden came into the night with only nine dunks this season across 34 games with more than 800 shots attempted. Given those numbers, it’s hard to blame Atlanta for allowing him to unleash that throwdown.

While we aren’t expecting Harden to be in the NBA’s dunk contest anytime soon, we’d love it if we got to see him fly and unleash more dunks like this in the future.
