Aaron Judge absolutely smoked a pitch from Jake Faria during Tuesday night’s game. The ball came off his bat at nearly 109 miles per hour and was headed right for Faria’s head.
Instinctively, Faria put his glove in front of the ball, potentially saving himself from a serious injury, and ended up with a highlight-reel catch.

Jake Faria just caught a 108.5-mph liner off the bat of Aaron Judge. Wow. That was terrifying. #Yankees pic.twitter.com/RivtepO8cH

This is one of those things where Faria might end up with a massive adrenaline rush after the fact. His life had to have flashed before his eyes in that moment, right before the ball ended up in his glove, rather than putting a dent in his head.
