WATCH: Gary Sanchez blasts 479-foot HR, his second of Game 2

By Matt Johnson

There is no opposing player who loves Fenway Park more than New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez. He showed it again on Saturday with a three-run, 479-foot blast for his second home run of Game 2.

Sanchez stepped to the plate in the seventh inning with New York leading 3-1 and in need of insurance runs. One massive swing of the bat later and the young catcher doubled New York’s run total and increased its lead to five.

Sanchez, who previously hit a solo home run earlier in Game 2, continues to crush at Fenway Park. The 25-year-old has simply owned this venue in his career with 10 home runs in 20 games.

Between Judge and Sanchez, New York’s historic ways of hitting monster home runs has carried into the postseason. The duo has combined for five home runs in three games and it seems safe to say more are coming this October.
