Jeff Hanisch, USA Today: It took Bosh and James to join Wade for those two to win.

Two-time NBA champion and future Hall of Famer big man Chris Bosh will see his No. 1 jersey retired by his former Miami Heat squad Tuesday evening inside American Airlines Arena.

It’s a bittersweet ending to a career that saw Bosh earn an All-Star appearance in each of his final 11 seasons before a debilitating injury ended said career.

Wishing he could be on hand for Bosh’s retirement ceremony, former teammate LeBron James paid tribute to his best bud in this recently released video.

This just goes to show us how much more the NBA is than a simple game. Relationships are cultivated. Friendships are born. And life-long bonds are created. For Bosh and James, their time together in South Beach represented the best of moments.

Bosh and James starred as teammates with the Heat for four seasons — earning an NBA Finals appearance each year and winning two titles.

Now a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, James has a road date with the Utah Jazz Tuesday evening. If not for that, he certainly would’ve been on hand in South Beach.
