Eli Morgan allowed one hit over six shutout innings to lead the Cleveland Indians to a 6-0 win against the visiting Chicago White Sox in the fourth game of their five-game series on Saturday night.
The rookie right-hander struck out six and walked one in his 17th major league start. Morgan (4-7), who did not allow a hit through the first four innings, came in 1-6 with an 8.31 ERA in nine home starts this season.
Jose Ramirez and Andres Gimenez homered, and Myles Straw had two hits and scored two runs for the Indians (76-78).
White Sox starter Lance Lynn (10-6) allowed six runs and seven hits in six innings. He struck out six and didn’t walk a batter for the White Sox (87-68), who clinched the AL Central with a win in the series opener on Thursday.
Straw led off the game with a grounder off the glove of shortstop Tim Anderson and into shallow left, allowing him to take second with a double. Following a groundout, Ramirez homered to right on a 3-2 pitch for a 2-0 lead.
Gimenez led off the third with a home run in the No, 9 spot in the lineup to stretch the lead to 3-0. Gimenez had two home runs in the first 56 games this season, but has belted three in the past seven games.
Morgan twice pitched out of trouble.
Yasmani Grandal walked to lead off the second and Eloy Jimenez then hit a hard line drive at Ramirez at third that went off his glove for an error, putting runners on first and second with no outs, but Morgan retired the next three batters.
Three innings later, Yoan Moncada led off the fifth with a double for the first hit of the game for Chicago, but Morgan stranded him at second after again retiring three straight batters with a runner in scoring position.

The Indians tacked on three more runs in the sixth.
Straw and Rosario reached on infield singles before Ramirez and Franmil Reyes followed with RBI singles. A sacrifice fly by Bobby Bradley made it 6-0.
