After more than a quarter of ugly play by the Duke Blue Devils offense, all it took was a turnover and a red-zone opportunity to unleash some beautiful play execution for a touchdown.

Duke showed a wide receiver screen that Virginia Tech’s entire defense bought on hard. As the defenders moved in towards the screen, Blue Devils quarterback Quentin Harris used a pump fake to the receiver then hit tight end Noah Gray in wide open space for the score.

It’s simply a beautiful play design by the Blue Devils and demonstrates the importance of offenses to run multiple concepts out of the same looks. It can often create great opportunities for big plays and Duke took advantage in a big way on Friday.
