Just when Toledo thought it was gaining some momentum against Appalachian State Saturday at the Raycom Media Camelia Bowl, freshman Darrynton Evans stole it back.

Following a 15-play touchdown scoring drive for the Rockets that tied the game up 21-21, Evans took the kickoff return 94 yards for a score. Fielding the short kick on the bounce, his return was a blaze of glory.

The Mountaineers have had the Rockets playing catch-up the entire game, but the 28-21 lead would not last for long. Logan Woodside led a quick five-play drive that spanned 75 yards in 93 seconds to tie the game up at 28-28 with time still remaining on the clock in the third quarter.
