It sure looks like the move to leadoff suits Bryce Harper, who hit a home run to open the game for the Washington Nationals on Wednesday.
Harper has been getting intentionally walked like crazy lately, and opposing teams have been getting away with it because his teammates have been stranding him on base. So, the switch to leadoff only made sense. And boy did it work.
After he launched one on Tuesday, he did it again on Wednesday, this time in the first inning.

Pretty much everyone had the same reaction to this.

Bryce Harper homers again out of the leadoff spot. You know, NL clubs, there might be something to having premier hitters bat at the top of the order. https://t.co/A7O0m8KIT0 pic.twitter.com/wY9U2TO6vk

Yeah, this leadoff thing seems to be suiting him just fine, thank you.
