After being eliminated from postseason contention, the Cleveland Browns came into Week 17 needing something positive to build on for next season. Quarterback Baker Mayfield provided it early, while showing off his talent, on a gorgeous 46-yard touchdown.
After starting the first drive with two runs, Cleveland’s offense went for the big shot against the Cincinnati Bengals. Mayfield saw receiver Damion Ratley get open deep and unleashed the perfect deep ball that dropped right into Ratley’s hands for the touchdown.
Big plays in Cleveland’s passing game have been few and far between this season. Fortunately, things are clicking early on Sunday against the Bengals. While Ratley hasn’t played much this season, perhaps this big play will change that moving forward.
