It’s been a rough 2019 season for Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. He looks determined to flip the script on Thursday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After connecting with Odell Beckham Jr. for a 42-yard strike early on Thursday, Mayfield made an even better play in the second quarter. When Pittsburgh sent an outside linebacker off the edge, Mayfield deked him with a pump fake then stepped up in the pocket and unleashed a strike to receiver Khadarel Hodge.

The big play quickly put Cleveland’s offense back in opposing territory and it kept attacking the Steelers. After moving the ball to the one-yard line, Mayfield dropped back and hit Jarvis Landry in the end zone for a touchdown and a two-score lead.

Mayfield is rolling on Thursday with 145 passing yards and two total touchdowns. If he can maintain this level of play, Cleveland will become a dangerous team in the AFC.
