The early part of Sunday’s game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts featured some ugly quarterback play, courtesy of Andy Dalton and Andrew Luck.

Dalton got the ball rolling. On just the second play of the game (and on his first pass) he was picked by defensive back Kenny Moore.

That’s a terrible pass. But on the positive side Dalton’s tackle proved vital. After a run and a penalty, Luck responded to Dalton’s pick with one of his own, this one by Preston Brown.

Well, the good news for both men is that the QB play can only get better from here — at least theoretically.
