Watch: Andre Johnson makes brilliant one-handed catch

Andre Johnson

From all we can gather from Indianapolis Colts training camp, veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson is thriving in his new digs.

He’s also up to his old tricks—just watch this brilliant one-handed catch.

Johnson looks like he is in his twenties again, as witnessed by this awesome play. For NFL players who switch teams after spending so many years with their original team, the transition isn’t always an easy one. However, in Johnson’s case, it appears that the change of scenery has breathed fresh air back into the 34 year old receiver, giving him new life:

“After you’ve been somewhere so long, you never think you’ll join another team,” said Johnson (via Sports Illustrated) on Sunday in Colts’ training camp at Anderson University, minutes after the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver left the practice field. “And then, to actually be on the team you’ve had a hard time beating, it’s kind of crazy.”

Johnson comes to Indianapolis after playing for 12 years with the Houston Texans. His last couple of years with his former team were tumultuous seasons, eventually leading to Johnson’s release.

Now, the seven-time Pro-Bowler is playing with a team that provides him much more of an opportunity to become a Super Bowl champion. At the very least, his career will almost certainly end on a much higher note than it would have, had he remained playing on the struggling Texans offense.

Way to show Houston what they are missing out on, Johnson.
