On the same day that the New York Yankees placed Miguel Andujar and Giancarlo Stanton on the injured list, fellow star Aaron Judge saved the Pinstripes in a big way.

Up 3-1 in the top of the eighth inning against the Detroit Tigers Monday night, Judge robbed Niko Goodrum of what would’ve been extra bases.

There’s every reason to believe that Detroit would’ve tied this game up if Judge’s sliding catch failed. After all, the Tigers had runners on first and second.

The catch represented the end of any rally with New York coming out on top 3-1 behind a strong start from Domingo German.
