The New York Yankees are battling through various injuries during the early part of the season.

Having already placed Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list, New York is now going to be without another top bat for the time being.

The team announced on Monday that it has placed third baseman Miguel Andujar on the 10-day injured list.

Andujar suffered the injury diving into third base against the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend.

A subject of trade rumors throughout the winter, the 24-year-old Andujar is hitting just .231 in three games this season.
