Washington WR John Ross says he will run sub-4.3 40 Sunday at combine

Washington receiver John Ross torched college football defensive backs all season, and we know he’s lightning fast. On Friday at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine, the dynamic pass catcher told reporters he expects to run his 40-yard dash in under 4.3 seconds.

An exceptionally gifted receiver, Ross has incredible quickness off the line of scrimmage in addition to his breakaway speed. Both qualities can be clearly seen here.

During his tenure with the Huskies, Ross averaged 15.2 yards per catch. He hauled in 81 passes for 1,150 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2016 for Washington and is expected by many to be a first-round selection in the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft.

We’ll be keeping our eyes on this kid Sunday when he and the rest of the receivers take to the track to show off their wheels.

Who knows? Maybe he’ll win an island — the prize for breaking Chris Johnson’s combine-record 40 time of 4.24 seconds.
