The Toronto Ultra promoted Charlie “Hicksy” Hicks from their Challengers team and moved him into the starting lineup one match into the Call of Duty League’s Major 3 qualifiers.

He replaces Eli “Standy” Bentz, who joined the Ultra in September.

The Ultra lost their opening match in the qualifiers 3-1 on Friday to the Boston Breach. Standy had a minus-11 kills to death differential.

“Benched,” Standy tweeted Saturday after the team announced the move. “Just gotta work on myself and become the player I know im capable of.”

Standy, 21, was on the Minnesota Rokkr roster from March 2021 to August 2022. This is the first Call of Duty League action for Hicksy, 23.

Toronto faces the Vegas Legion on Sunday.

Other players on the Ultra roster are Tobias Juul “CleanX” Jonsson, Jamie “Insight” Craven and Thomas “Scrappy” Ernst.
