Udonis Haslem, who spent all 20 of his NBA seasons with the Heat, is moving into the Miami front office.

Haslem’s new title is vice president, basketball development. The team said his job duties will include serving as a resource to the coaching staff, representing the Heat in the community, and mentoring players on the rosters of the Heat and the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G-League.

“Born and raised in Miami, UD has been an integral part of the success of the Heat for 20 years,” team president Pat Riley said. “It’s great that he has chosen to continue to build on his incredible legacy here in Miami, where he belongs.”

Haslem, 43, won three NBA championships and seven Eastern Conference titles with the franchise. He joins Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers) and Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks) as the only players in history to spend at least 20 years with one team.

The power forward/center retired following the 2022-23 season.

A 16-time team captain, he is the Heat’s all-time rebounding leader (5,791) and is second in games played (879), starts (501) and minutes played (21,719).

He averaged 7.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
