An injury to Tyson Fury has forced the postponement of his heavyweight title fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury sustained a cut above his eye while sparring at his training camp in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

“I am absolutely devastated,” the British boxer said in a statement. “I feel bad for everyone involved in this huge event and I will work diligently towards the rescheduled date once the eye has healed. I can only apologize to everyone affected!”

Fury and Osyk were scheduled for a 12-round fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship on Feb. 17 in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

Fury, 35, is the WBC champion and owns a 34-0-1 record with 24 wins by knockout.

Usyk, 37, of Ukraine, is 21-0 with 14 Kos and holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO belts.
