Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert is on the road to recovery after suffering a gruesome broken ankle in September. After sharing a photo after his surgery over a week ago, Eifert is now updating the world on his status with far grosser images.
Eifert is clearly starting to recover nicely from his nasty injury, which is an excellent sign on his road back to the field. The 28-year-old tight end has overcome a plethora of injuries in his career and seems ready to take fans on every step of his recovery.

The pictures are gross, but at least Eifert showed his roots run deep with the green of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
While he’d rather play football this week, it seems Eifert will be watching closely this weekend when Notre Dame faces the Pittsburgh Panthers.
Meanwhile, the Bengals will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, so Eifert’s allegiance to his former college and current NFL team will see him rooting against Pittsburgh more than ever this weekend.
