Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert has been ruled out of action for Week 1, as expected, while recovering from his ankle injury.
#Bengals officially rule out TE Tyler Eifert as expected. CB Darqueze Dennard listed as doubtful. The other 51 should be available

Eifert suffered his ankle injury during the Pro Bowl last year. He wanted to see if the injury would heal without surgery but was ultimately forced to go under the knife in the spring.
Not surprisingly, Eifert has vowed to never again attend a Pro Bowl game as a player (more on that here).
The Bengals will miss the playmaking tight end while he remains out. Eifert caught 52 passes for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns in a breakout campaign last year.
Fantasy owners should keep a close eye on the injury reports going forward. Some reports have suggested Eifert will remain out until Week 4 at the earliest. But there is a chance he could return sooner.
