Jaylon McKenzie had everything going for him. An eighth grader in Illinois, McKenzie was a great student and a star football player that had been featured in national publications.
Sadly, McKenzie was killed earlier this month when a stray bullet hit him after a fight broke out at a party.
Just 14 years old, this tragic event has captivated the football world. Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott just recently paid for McKenzie’s funeral service.
Tennessee Titans star cornerback Adoree Jackson is following suit by paying for McKenzie’s burial.
This is a grand gesture from a grand man. A product of Illinois himself, Jackson knows full well just how hard this tragic event hit the local community.
