That saying that you should probably think before hitting send on social media. Well, Houston Texans wide receiver Jaelen Strong will likely find himself paying more attention to that rule after his unfortunate Twitter tantrum regarding Caitlyn Jenner receiving the Courage Award at the ESPY’s on Wednesday night.
These tweets, which this one scribe decided to screen shot with a sarcastic message of his own, were sent out at the same time Jenner was accepting her award.
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past several months, Caitlyn Jenner (previously Bruce), just recently transitioned into becoming a woman.
Whether you believe others were just as deserving (if not more so) than Jenner as it relates to this award, there’s no reason to show hate in the way Strong did.
Strong, a third-round pick of the Texans in the 2015 NFL draft, deleted the tweets shortly thereafter. Though, he probably wishes the Internet didn’t have the capability of saving ignorant takes just like we did here.
