T1 topple Cloud9 in Mid Match of Swiss Stage at Worlds

T1 made short work of Cloud9 in their Round 3 Mid Match in the Swiss Stage at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship on Sunday.

Hyeon-joon “Oner” Moon of South Korea was named the MVP during T1’s 22-minute win on blue.

NRG, Bilibili Gaming and KT Rolster also won their respective Mid Matches on Sunday. NRG recorded a 42-minute win on blue over MAD Lions, Bilibili notched a 33-minute win on blue over Fnatic and KT Rolster seized a 39-minute on blue over Weibo Gaming

The Round 3 Low Matches on Monday will feature Dplus vs. Team BDS and Team Liquid against GAM Esports.

After the Swiss Stage, the $2.225 million world championship advances to the knockout stage. All rounds are being contested in venues in South Korea. The knockout round will culminate with the Nov. 19 grand final at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
