Spurs F LaMarcus Aldridge out indefinitely with heart arrhythmia

The San Antonio Spurs announced on Saturday morning that starting power forward LaMarcus Aldridge will be out indefinitely after being diagnosed with minor┬áheart arrhythmia. Any time you are dealing with an issue to the heart area, it’s scary.┬áHence, why the Spurs are holding Aldridge out indefinitely.

“All parties have concluded that at the current time it is best for Aldridge to refrain from play until further tests and examinations are are completed,” the Spurs said in a statement on Saturday.

Aldridge, 31, is averaging 17.3 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting at a 47 percent clip from the field this season.

It remains to be seen how long the former All-Star might be out, but that will surely depend on the outcomes of examinations moving forward here. This is a scary situation for everyone involved. Let’s just hope Aldridge gets healthy and back on the court here soon.

San Antonio hosts the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. It’s a game that’s now lost a bunch of its luster. The Warriors will be without all four of their All-Stars while San Antonio will be missing both Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard.
