Sentinels rally past Gen.G in Masters Madrid final

Sentinels edged Gen.G Esports 3-2 on Sunday in the final of the Valorant Champions Tour 2024 Masters Madrid event.

After falling 13-8 on Breeze to open the match, Sentinels prevailed 14-12 on Bind to knot things at 1. Gen.G took Ascent 13-8, but Sentinels responded with victories on Split (13-10) and Icebox (13-6) to take home $250,000 and three Americas Points.

Zachary “zekken” Patrone of the United States finished with 101 kills and a plus-16 kill-death differential for Sentinels, who got revenge after losing 2-1 to Gen.G Esports in Friday’s upper-bracket final.

Kim “Karon” Won-tae of South Korea recorded 79 kills and a plus-1 K-D ratio for Gen.G.

Sentinels reached the grand final by beating Paper Rex 3-1 in the lower-bracket final on Saturday.
