Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs is recovering after surgery to repair his broken fibula and dislocated ankle.

“Surgery was a success! Super grateful! Thank you all!” Diggs tweeted Tuesday night.

Per NFL Network, the procedure was performed with no complications Tuesday by Dr. Robert Anderson. Diggs faces a recovery time of 4-5 months.

Several Seahawks teammates reportedly requested to stay behind in Arizona with Diggs following Sunday’s 38-30 victory against the Cardinals.

He sustained the injury while making a tackle in the fourth quarter. He left the field on a cart after medical staff stabilized his right leg.

Diggs led the Seahawks with five interceptions and recorded a career-high 94 tackles in 17 games this season. He has 19 career interceptions in 103 contests, including 38 with Seattle and 65 with the Detroit Lions.

Diggs, who turns 29 on Jan. 22, is set to become a free agent during the offseason.
