Ryan Tannehill reportedly out at least two more weeks

The Miami Dolphins won’t have starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill for at least two more weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Tannehill is currently recovering from an injury to his throwing shoulder. He’s just started throwing for the first time in weeks but is not yet practicing with the Dolphins.

While he remains out of the starting lineup, backup Brock Osweiler has been working with the first-team offense. He had some solid showings his first couple of games but came crashing back down to reality in his last game against the Houston Texans.

In four games this year, Osweiler has completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 895 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions, earning a 1-2 record in his starts.

The Dolphins opened up the season with three straight wins but have lost four of their last five and enter Week 9 with a 4-4 record, good for second place in the AFC East. This Sunday, they’ll host the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium.
