Rex Ryan has a history of trolling teams by picking weekly captains that used to play for the opposition. He’s at it again for the upcoming Week 2 Thursday Night Football game against the New York Jets.
Rex Ryan announces former Jets DL Leger Douzable will be a captain this week. #ThisJustIn

Leger Douzable is not a name many casual fans will recognize. In fact, he’s only started nine games in his eight-year career.
That should tell you all you need to know about Ryan’s intent.
It’s worth pointing out, however, that despite Douzable’s less than notable career, he did managed to rack up 1.5 sacks last weekend against the Baltimore Ravens. He and Jerry Hughes put some serious pressure on Joe Flacco in the team’s Week 1 loss.
Still, this move to make Douzable the captain in Week 2 is nothing more than Ryan’s way of poking his former team.
Never change, Rex Ryan. Never change.
