Revolution acquire Mark-Anthony Kaye from Toronto FC

The New England Revolution acquired Mark-Anthony Kaye from Toronto FC on Thursday in exchange for fellow midfielder Latif Blessing and a 2023 international roster slot.

Kaye, 28, has two goals in 21 MLS matches (all starts) this season with his hometown team of Toronto. The Canadian national team member has totaled 15 goals and 23 assists in 138 career MLS matches (128 starts) with Los Angeles Football Club (2018-21), Colorado Rapids (2021-22), and Toronto FC (2022-23).

“Mark-Anthony Kaye is a good addition to our roster and we welcome him to the New England Revolution,” New England Revolution sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena said. “His experiences at the MLS and international levels offer our team a player of quality who will complement our midfield.

“Additionally, I would like to thank Latif Blessing for his contributions to our club. He is an outstanding person, and we wish him the very best with Toronto FC.”

Blessing, 26, has one assist in 15 matches (14 starts) this season. He has totaled 17 goals and 25 assists in 185 career MLS matches (136 starts) with Sporting Kansas City (2017), LAFC (2018-22) and the Revolution (2023).
