Andrew Wiggins is expected to rejoin the Golden State Warriors this week after missing the past 22 games for personal reasons, ESPN and KRON4 News reported Monday.
It’s unlikely Wiggins would play in any of the Warriors’ final regular-season games, a stretch of three contest that begins Tuesday at home vs. Oklahoma City. The Warriors (41-38) are clinging to the sixth seed in the Western Conference, a half-game ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The regular season ends Sunday.
Wiggins, who hasn’t played since Feb. 13, has reportedly been tending to a family matter. The Warriors are 12-10 without the All-Star swingman.
Wiggins, 27, is fourth on the team with 17.1 points per game. He’s shooting 47.3 percent from the floor and 38.6 percent from the 3-point line.
