While all the talk of a potential Kevin Love trade has surrounded the Cleveland Cavaliers sending Andrew Wiggins and change to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the All-Star, there is another team that is in the midst of trade discussions with Minnesota for the big man.
The Golden State Warriors have been going hard after Love ever since their season ended against the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs last month. They are now ready to include Klay Thompson in any potential deal.
A new report now indicates that Minnesota and Flip Saunders prefer Thompson over Wiggins.
Not to burst Cavs fans bubble but if Warriors are willing to include Thompson that trumps Cavs. Wolves prefer Klay bc more ready per source.

This really shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering Thompson’s 2013-2014 performance and the fact that he’s the more proven player of the two. Considering that there are other parts involved in these potential deals, this isn’t the end all be all.
With that said, if Saunders does prefer Thompson over Wiggins, Golden State may now be the favorites to land Love.
