Report: Sixers talking to Cavaliers about Kyle Korver

Let the fire sale begin. While the Cleveland Cavaliers have pushed back against the idea that they’re going into a full scale rebuild following the departure of LeBron James in free agency, it stands to reason that the team would sell off some of its assets.

According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, that could soon include sending veteran sharpshooter Kyle Korver to the Philadelphia 76ers for Jerryd Bayless.

This would pretty much be a salary dump for the Cavaliers.

Korver, 37, has two years and $15 million remaining on his contract. The 29-year-old Bayless is entering a contract year and set to count $8.6 million against the cap.

From a Sixers perspective, this deal would add yet another tremendous perimeter shooter to go with JJ Redick. He might be a little long in the tooth, but Korver still hit on a 44 percent mark from three-point range last season.
