The Los Angeles Rams’ top two running backs sustained injuries in Sunday’s win and will undergo MRIs on Monday, NFL Network reported.

Kyren Williams injured an ankle in the fourth quarter of the 26-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals. His status for the Rams (3-3) this Sunday against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) is unclear.

Williams rushed for 158 yards against the Cardinals, the most by a Rams RB since December 2020. Zach Evans filled in for Williams when he went down, rushing four times for 10 yards.

Williams, 23, has 456 yards rushing and six touchdowns in six games (five starts) this season. He has 13 receptions for 105 yards and one score.

Backup running back Ronnie Rivers is believed to have a strained PCL that will sideline him for a few weeks, per the report. He left the game in the third quarter after rushing for 9 yards on three carries.

Rivers, 24, has rushed for 57 yards and has four catches for 18 yards in six games this season.
