Report: Raiders sign former Eagles star WR Nelson Agholor

Nelson Agholor Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have focused more on the defensive side of the ball thus far in free agency. That changed to an extent on Saturday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Las Vegas has signed former Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick Nelson Agholor to a one-year contract.

The 26-year-old receiver fell out of favor last season under Eagles head coach Doug Pederson. He caught just 39 passes for 363 yards. A product of USC, Agholor did tally a combined 126 catches for north of 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2017 and 2018.

Agholor will provide another weapon for whoever is under center in Las Vegas next season. The Raiders previously inked former No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota. In all likelihood, he will compete with Derek Carr for the starting quarterback job.
