The Green Bay Packers reportedly cleared more than $16 million salary cap space by reworking two contracts.

They restructured deals for cornerback Jaire Alexander and defensive end Preston Smith, NFL Network said Saturday.

The Packers freed up $9.456 million with Alexander’s contract and another $6.668 million with Smith’s, per the report.

Alexander, 26, made his second Pro Bowl and posted a career-high five interceptions in 16 starts in 2022.

Smith, 30, started all 17 games and led the Packers with 8.5 sacks and 20 quarterback hits last season.
