Nick Young has been drawing some interest from teams around the NBA since he opted out of his old contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Golden State Warriors have been mentioned as a team Young might join (as a mid-level exception).
Now, per Mark Medina of the New York Daily News, we’re learning that Young is being pursued by the Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans.
All four teams are seen as playoff contenders. But there’s obviously one team that stands above the rest as the potential pathway to a championship for Swaggy P. Last season as a member of the Lakers, Young averaged 13.2 points per game last season with the Los Angeles Lakers and hit 40.4 percent of his shots from behind the arc.
While he’s had some issues controlling his emotions, it seems Young has legitimately matured over the years. He will be a valuable bench player for whichever team he chooses to sign with this season.
