Report: Nick Young could join Warriors as mid-level exception

Nick Young

Could Swaggy P join the NBA champion Golden State Warriors? According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Nick Young could do just that.

While the Warriors have been handing out monster contracts like they are candy, Young, who opted out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, could be brought on board as a portion of the team’s $5.2 million mid-level exception.

Young would bring more scoring power to the team that scores at a prolific rate. He averaged 13.2 points per game last season with the Los Angeles Lakers and hit 40.4 percent of his shots from behind the arc.

After bringing Andre Iguodala back on board and signing Stephen Curry to the richest contract in NBA history, it’s clear the Warriors are still looking to upgrade their roster. The word dynasty isn’t often apt, but this franchise could seriously be on pace to become one of the NBA’s most prolific championship-winning teams in the years to come.
