The Charlotte Hornets are reportedly finalizing a buyout for 33-year-old veteran Marvin Williams, and according to Shams Charania of The Athletic he’ll sign with the Milwaukee Bucks after that goes through.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported on the buyout on Friday, noting he will be eligible to play in the postseason as long as he’s completed the buyout by March 1.
This move is a boon for Milwaukee, which could certainly use a strong outside shooter with experience. Williams is just that, and he is far from a liability on the defensive end as well. This season with Charlotte, he averaged 6.7 points and 2.7 rebounds.
