Report: Lions agree to terms with OT Ricky Wagner

By Jesse Reed

The Detroit Lions have reportedly agreed to terms with hot-ticket offensive tackle Ricky Wagner, who spent the past four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

Rand Getlin broke the news first, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter coming in immediately afterwards to confirm.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports he’ll haul in more than $9 million per year, setting a new market for right tackles.

In an offseason when there just isn’t that much talent on the market at this key position, Wagner was at the top of this year’s class of offensive linemen along with T.J. Lang of the Green Bay Packers.

A full-time starter with Baltimore the past three years, Wagner was a player the Ravens knew they couldn’t afford to keep. He was rated as the No. 18-ranked offensive tackle by the folks at Pro Football Focus and is highly regarded around the NFL.
