LeBron James, one of the greatest players to ever step onto the court, is taking his talents to one of the greatest franchises in the NBA.
On Sunday, per Klutch Sports, it was announced that he would be signing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

It was previously reported that a big part of the decision for James would be lifestyle, and now the 33-year-old and his family get to be in Los Angeles. It not only provides a great opportunity for his family, but it also opens the doors for the Lakers to be exciting once again.
James joins the Lakers after Chris Paul signed with the Houston Rockets and Paul George signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder. While the Lakers will not land either player, they have been connected to DeMarcus Cousins.
James has reportedly already made calls to players to see who wants to join him, so it should only be a matter of time before another superstar suits up alongside him in the purple and gold.
Los Angeles already boasted a core of promising, young players with Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball. While Ball’s torn meniscus will prevent him from being traded, the Lakers possess the young talent to go after almost any top player that becomes available.
An organization that has seen the likes of Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Shaquille O’Neal play for it, now welcomes potentially the most gifted basketball player in team history.
Basketball in Los Angeles is back. While the Lakers may not be one of the two best teams in the Western Conference, they’ll certainly be the team everyone talks about and watches the most.
