Report: Eddie Lacy set to visit with Seahawks and Vikings

Some figured Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy might not get a ton of play in free agency. He’s coming off an injury-plagued 2016 campaign and hasn’t been an above-average running back since his first two seasons in the league back in 2013-14.

Despite this, Lacy himself is drawing some early interest on the free-agent market. According go his agency, Lacy already has visits lined up with the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks.

Of note, Minnesota is rather interesting here. It declined the 2017 option on running back Arian Peterson and will surely be looking for a replacement. Nabbing Lacy from a division rival would only add value to the signing itself.

Lacy, 26, has put up a combined 1,118 rushing yards and three touchdowns in 17 games over the past two seasons. That came on the heels of the former second-round pick tallying over 3,000 total yards and 24 touchdowns in his first two seasons with Green Bay.
