Al Holcomb, who finished out the 2022 season as the interim defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, has been hired by the Buffalo Bills as a defensive assistant, NFL Network reported Wednesday.

Holcomb took over as DC when Phil Snow was fired by Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks in the aftermath of head coach Matt Rhule’s firing. Wilks called it his decision to move on from Snow.

Holcomb was also the defensive coordinator under Wilks in Arizona in 2018.
