Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick will reportedly be gutting out a bruised kidney when the Crimson Tide take on Georgia in the national title game Monday.

One of Alabama’s key defenders and a team leader, Fitzpatrick is a heck of a player. He can play all over the field and is somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades. He’s also a ball hawk who has been known for taking errant passes the other way for six points (like this).

This past season, Fitzpatrick tallied 55 tackles, seven for a loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble for the Crimson Tide. He’s expected to be one of the top defenders taken off the board when the 2018 NFL Draft takes place, and we recently mocked him to the Cleveland Browns with their second pick.
