Redskins ditch gold Color Rush uniforms

The Washington Redskins wear all burgundy in Thursday night’s Color Rush game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Though, this was not the original plan. According to a report by CBS Sports, the team refused to wear the all mustard/gold uniforms that were initially chosen.

It is not too surprising to see the Redskins are protesting NFL’s Color Rush. The team proposed a rule change in March that would give franchises the choice to opt out of wearing the uniforms. Though it was never voted on because the proposal was pulled before the league owners voted, according to CBS Sports.

For Thursday night, it will be all burgundy versus Dallas’ white-on-white in Thursday’s clash.
