During Friday night’s wild AAC matchup between UCF and South Florida, senior Bulls quarterback Quinton Flowers celebrated a touchdown with a lewd gesture.
Or, at least, it sure looked lewd to us, though we’ll let you be the judge.
On Saturday, predictably, Flowers apologized for what he did. Sort of.
“It was in no way my intention to do anything offensive in Friday night’s tremendous game between two great teams and universities,” Flowers said, per College Football Talk. “I apologize if anything I did was interpreted the wrong way. I have always tried my best to be a good representative of USF and a positive example to young people.”
So, he’s sorry what he did might have been interpreted the wrong way. That’s not quite the same as fessing up to having done something naughty. Though, he’d hardly be the first college quarterback to do something like it this season, or even in the past week.
