Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard out vs. Magic

Portland Trail Blazers star guard Damian Lillard has been ruled out of Friday’s road game against the Orlando Magic, the team announced.

Lillard, 30, reportedly has been playing through a series of minor injuries.

Friday’s game is the second of back-to-back contests for the Trail Blazers, who posted a 125-122 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday. Lillard capped his second straight 22-point performance by making three free throws with one second remaining in the game.

Lillard is averaging an NBA second-best 30.0 points heading into Friday’s action. The six-time All-Star also is averaging 7.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 43 games (all starts) this season.

Lillard has averaged 24.6 points, 6.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 658 career games (all starts) since being selected by the Trail Blazers with the sixth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
