Why has politics invaded sports? TC and Matt K. Lewis discuss politics and sports in American and the phenomenon on sitting down for a football game on Sunday night seems to contain a politically or socially charged commentary from Bob Costas. Now the NFL has jumped into the Arizona issue making news and is taking sides on what many are attempting to turn into a political issue instead of looking at the unintended consequences that will occur. Is this protection from the empty vessels who believe they are correct on every thought they’ve ever had and thus take the lazy route of calling others sexist, racist, or homophobic instead of attempting to understand and engage in a discussion.
