When Michael Jordan entered the NBA back in 1984, Magic Johnson had already won a championship and was the face of the Association. The two never really crossed paths during their careers, as Johnson was out of the league when Jordan won the first of what became six NBA titles.
Interestingly enough, it seems that Jordan was a huge fan of Johnson when the former was recruited by North Carolina prior to the 1981 season.

This is seemingly the first evidence pointing to someone what Jordan looked up to prior to his Hall of Fame NBA career. While he appeared to be a fan of Magic Johnson, the two played a vastly different game on the basketball court.
Nonetheless, this is a nice little piece of information right here.
