The early tampering window for NFL free agency kicks off at 12 PM ET on Monday. Once the clock strikes 12, the Philadelphia Eagles and their competitors can begin contacting and negotiating contracts with free agents.

Naturally, this has general managers and other members of NFL front offices getting their priorities in order. This includes putting together a list of which player agents to contact first in an effort to show their strong interest in working out a contract.

While we’re still hours away from the early tampering period, we’re already getting hints of one player the Eagles are expected to pursue right away.

Having been the Philadelphia Eagles GM since 2010, Howie Roseman has a very strong feel for how NFL free agency works. He’s also not afraid to make a splashy signing, as seen time and time again.

This offseason will feature a lot of additions and subtractions, just like any other offseason in Philadelphia, but with free agency so close by, fans are eager to refresh their news sources in search of a new Eagles rumor.

The latest comes from The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt, who says the Eagles are planning to make Bryce Huff one of their first phone calls when free agency begins.

Huff is an edge rusher who’s coming off a career year that saw him finish with ten sacks despite not starting a single game. That alone sounds like he’s a perfect fit for the Eagles, who love to incorporate a pass-rush rotation that allows them to keep their defenders’ legs fresh late in the game.

However, as Rosenblatt notes, Huff’s market is expected to be “robust,” with several other teams also interested in adding the 25-year-old defender.
